Vertigo Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
A sensation of dizziness and giddiness.
Causes:
A symptom of many diseases, including Meniere's disease, epilepsy, anxiety neurosis as well as lesions of the vestibular pathways, cerebellum and brain-stem.
Symptoms:
A subjective sensation of rotation of the environment59.
Treatment:
Arnica montana; Baryta carbonica; Bryonia alba; Causti-cum; Cinchona (China) officinalis; Coccuius; Canium maculatum; Gelsemium sempervirens; Granatum; Phosphorus.
Arnica montana: Helpful in the early stage. Dizziness arising from sudden quick movements and postural changes, as from standing up too rapidly. Mild nausea. Better when lying quietly in a darkened room. Useful in cases of vertigo due to trauma.
Baryta carbonica: When the cause is an inadequate cerebral circulation.
Bryonia alba: Useful in Meniere's disease, when vertigo occurs with any sudden movement, such as getting up from a chair.
Causticum: Helpful in those patients associated with ear disease and urinary disorders.
Cinchona (China) officinalis: Dizziness associated with nausea, fainting and tinnitus. Meniere's disease. Worse with movement, draft and cold air. Cinchonism.
Cocculus indicus: Nausea, especially when riding or sitting up. Headache in occiput, worse when lying on the back of the head. Pain in the eyes with pupils contracted. Head trembles.
Conium maculatum: Vertigo when lying down or turning in bed. Worse moving the head slightly, or turning to the left.
Gelsemium sempervirens: Vertigo spreading from occiput. Heavy, dull head as if a band is tied around it. Heavy eyelids; pain in the temples extends to the ear.
Granatum: Head feels empty. Sunken eyes, pupils dilated. Persistent vertigo.
Phosphorus: Hearing is difficult, especially of the human voice; sounds echo. Vertigo after rising. Burning pains; chronic congestion of head, skin on forehead feels too tight.
