Thrombosis Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
Inflammation of the venous channels in any location of the body, commonly in the lower limbs is known as phlebitis. Thrombosis is the formation, development or presence of a thrombus (an aggregation of platelets and fibrin with entrapment of cellular elements, causing vascular obstruction at the site of formation).
Inflammation of a vein associated with thrombus formation is called thrombophlebitis.
Causes:
Trauma, infection, debility, smoking, contraceptive pills
and other hormonal preparations and anti-depressants. Also follows snake-bite.
Symptoms:
Local oedema, pain, redness and tenderness.
Treatment:
Aconitum napellus; Arnica montana; Belladonna atropa; Bothrops lanceolatus; Hamamelis virginica; Lachesis; Pulsatilla nigricans.
Aconitum napellus: When acute and associated with fatigue, as from long periods of walking or working.
Arnica montana: The tincture is applied locally and also given internally in tow potency (3C). Associated with trauma.
Belladonna atropa: When the overlying area is hot, red, tender and infected.
Bothrops lanceolatus: Debilitated, hemorrhagic constitutions, often with hemiplegia, aphasia and the inability to articulate.
Hamamelis virginica: The tincture is applied locally and also given internally in the 6C potency. Usually associated with varicose veins.
Lachesis: When the affected area is bluish.
Pulsatilla nigricans: Associated with varicose veins, and the patient is thirstless and intolerant of heat.
