Stomatitis Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
Inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue.
Causes:
Bacterial, fungal and viral infections, nutritional deficiencies. An allergic reaction to disinfectants and chemicals in toothpastes, mouth washes, food-additives, lipsticks and sweets. Food allergies.
Symptoms:
Soreness, offensive odor, halitosis and loss of taste.
Treatment:
Apis mellifica; Borax; Lachesis; Muriaticum addum; Nitricum addum.
Apis mellifica: Firey red, sore and raw scalding of the mouth and throat. The tongue is hot and trembling. Swollen gums and lips. Membranes are shining and puffy.
Borax: The mouth is hot and tender; oral ulcers bleed on touching. White fungus-like growths (Candida albicans).
Lachesis: Swollen, spongy, bleeding gums; burning and trembling of tongue. The tongue is red and cracked at the tip, with denuded raw burning spots. Toothache with pain radiating to ears. Nausea. Loss of taste.
Muriaticum addum: Painful, red, pale, dry, swollen and leathery tongue. Deep ulcers on the tongue, hard swellings on the gums; glands are swollen. Fetid breath.
Nitricum addum: Ulcers in the soft palate, with sharp, splinter-like pain. Bloody saliva. Tongue is bright red, with the center furrowed.
