Splenomegaly Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
An enlargement of the spleen as the result of many diseases. Malaria is often the cause. It is encountered also in certain chronic infections, such as chronic anemias, blood disorders and cirrhosis of the liver. As malaria was common in previous centuries, early homoeopaths were more familiar with these enlargements of the spleen.
Causes:
Malaria, bilharzia, anemia and blood disorders.
Symptoms:
A symptom of many disorders. Pain and a lump in the left hypochondrium
Treatment:
Ceanothus americanus; Cinchona (China) officinalis; Natrium muriaticum; Nux vomica.
Ceanothus americanus: Pain on the left side, deep seated. Violent dyspnea. Menses profuse. Unable to lie on the left side due to pain in the splenic region and back.
Cinchona (China) officinalis: Persistent, chronic malarial infection.
Natrium muriaticum: Sweats while eating. Craving for salt. Aversion to bread, loaths anything slimy, like oysters. Throbbing abdominal pain, heartburn and unquenchable thirst.
Nux vomica: When due to toxic causes.
