Ophthalmoplegia Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
A paralysis affecting the extrinsic muscles of the eye.

Causes:
Many causes, due to the varying nature of the paralysis. Myopathies, myasthenia gravis, toxic neuropathies, intracranial lesions, etc.

Symptoms:
Diplopia, headache, nausea arid vomiting. Treatment: Argentum nitricum; Aurum muriatkum natronatum; Cocculus indicus; Gelsemium sempervirens; Lachesis; Tabacum.

Treatment:

Argentum nitricum; Aurum muriatkum natronatum; Cocculus indicus; Gelsemium sempervirens; Lachesis; Tabacum.

Argentum nitrkum: Inner canthus is swollen and red. Swelling of the conjunctiva, puruient discharge from the eyes. Unable to keep eyes fixed and steady. Weakened ciliary muscles.

Aurum muriatkum natronatum: Swelling of lower lids. Hypertension.

Cocculus indicus: Pain in the eyeball, sensation as if the head is turning (vertigo). Pupils contracted. Paresis of other muscles, cramp-like pains in the masseter muscle, worse when forcefully opening the mouth.

Gelsemium sempervirens: Ptosis, patient can hardly open the eyelids. Double ision; blurred and milky field of vision. Pupils dilated and insensitive to light. Itching pain in the back of orbit. Serous inflammation.

Lachesis: Pain at the root of the nose, pressure on the vertex. Worse after moving. Dimness of vision, muscles too weak to maintain focus. Sensation as if the eyes are drawn together by a cord towards the root of the nose,

Tabacum: When the diplopia is due to excessive use of tobacco.
