Non-healing Wounds Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
Inflammatory changes in a wound, with infection. May proceed to ulcer formation, which is an excavation of the surface of an organ or tissue, produced by the sloughing of inflammatory necrotic tissue.

Causes:
Local infection, usually associated with trauma.

Symptoms:
Heat, swelling, pain, redness and fever.

Treatment:
Aconitum napellus; Belladonna atropa; Hepar sulphuris calcareum; Hypericum perforatum (locally); Lachesis; Silicea; Staphysagria.

Aconitum napellus: In early and acute cases with redness, fever and swelling.

Belladonna atropa: Follows Aconitum napellus, when there is severe pain, fever, swelling and tenderness.

Hepar sulphuris calcareum: With pus formation and infection.

Hypericum perforatum: Applied locally in early cases (as tincture or lotion). Pain.

Lachesis: Blue or purplish ulcers.

Silicea: With chronic infection and pus formation, not responding to antibiotics.

Staphysagria: The wound is usually very painful; itching, tearing, drawing, almost unbearable in character. Anger and resentment are important features.
