Myopia Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
Myopia or near sightedness is a refractory error with an inability to focus the vision, unless the object is brought excessively close to the eyes. Astigmatism results from a lens and/or a cornea that is not perfectly curved or in alignment.

Causes:
Often unknown. The defect is usually a weakness in the intrinsic muscles, which cause focusing. Heredity may be a cause.

Symptoms:
Objects are blurred and out of focus. To see clearly, objects must be brought increasingly closer to the eye.

Treatment:
Ulium tigrinum; Physostigma.

Ulium tigrinum: Useful in astigmatism. Pain extends to the back of the head. Lachrymation and impaired vision. Restores power to the weak ciliary muscle.

Physostigma: Best given in the 3C potency, it acts on the ciliary muscles of the iens. A peculiar dread of cold water, indicates the remedy.
