Myocardial Failure Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
Failure of the heart muscle due to disease of the myocardium, valves, toxic causes, lung disease or respiratory obstruction may cause dyspnea; a subjective sensation in which the breathing effort becomes conscious and uncomfortable.
Causes:
As described above.
Symptoms:
Breathing difficulty, anxiety, pain, faintness, hoarseness and cough.
Treatment:
Aceticum acidum; Apis mellifica; Arsenicum album; Ipecacuanha; Spongia tosta.
Aceticum acidum: Vomiting; a weak heart beat; profuse urination; sweating.
Apis mellifica: Hoarseness with hurried and difficult breathing. Short, dry cough with suffocation. Oedema of the larynx.
Arsenicum album: Palpitation, pain, faintness. Pulse more rapid in the mornings. Constricted airway. Cough often worse around midnight.
Ipecacuanha: For spasmodic irritation of the chest. Incessant cough with every breath. Suffocation. Child (patient) may become blue in the face. Hemoptysis.
Spongia tosta: Rapid, violent palpitations, usually cannot lie down, but feels best when calmed and resting in a horizontal position. Wakes suddenly about midnight with pain and suffocation. Feels the heart is surging out of the chest. Hypertrophy of the heart with (cardiac) asthmatic symptoms.
