Leucorrhea Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
A whitish, viscid discharge from the vagina or uterine cavity.

Causes:
Chronic inflammation of the mucosal lining of the vagina or the cervix.

Symptoms:
A vaginal discharge, with irritation, pain and discomfort.

Treatment:
Alumina; Borax; Calcarea carbonica; Cinchona (China) officinalis; Kreosotum; Nitricum acidum; Pulsatilla nigricans; Platinum metallicum; Sepia.

Alumina: There is a thin, irritating and burning white discharge, either before or following the periods.

Borax: The discharge is like the white of an egg (clear and copious), feels hot, and usually occurs in the middle of the cycle. The discharge is usually painless with associated anxiety and tension.

Calcarea carbonica: Persistent, milky, yellow discharge; cold, damp hands and feet. Helpful in females before puberty. There is often an associated burning pain in the pelvis. Morning hunger is very characteristic.

Cinchona (China) officinalis: When there is associated muscular weakness and asthenia.

Kreosotum: The discharge is yellow, watery, acrid and smells like fresh grain; worse after the periods. There is an associated redness, itching and burning of the vulval area. There may be ulceration of the vulva and thigh areas with debility. Some patients have a thick, greenish and offensive discharge.

Pulsatilla nigricans: A thick, milky discharge which is acrid, burning and excoriating, usually associated with a feeling of chilliness and deep tenderness. It is helpful in all variations of the disorder.

Platinum metallicum: Watery discharge between menses; an associated constipation, and superiority complex is present. Nymphomania.

Sepia: There is an offensive yellowish-green discharge, which is excoriating and worse before the periods. There is an accompanying constipation and a sallow face. This remedy is of value in infantile leucorrhea. Cramping uterine pains are usually common.
