Laryngitis Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the larynx and trachea.
Causes:
Micro-organisms, dust, fumes and other irritants.
Symptoms:
Fever, sore throat; extremely tenacious and fibrinous sputum.
Treatment:
Bryonia alba; Hyoscyamus niger, Lachesis; Rumex crispus.
Bryonia alba: Dryness, stitching pains on swallowing, scraped and constricted feeling in throat, tough mucus in the larynx and trachea, loosened only after much clearing of the throat. Worse on going into a warm room.
Hyoscyamus niger: Uvula elongated, constriction of the throat; cannot swallow liquids. Noises at night in the ears.
Lachesis: Chronic sore throat, very painful; worse with the slightest pressure, pain aggravated by hot drinks.
Rumex crispus: Rawness of trachea, lump in the throat; copious mucus discharge from nose and throat; aggravated by talking, breathing cool air at night.
