Intestinal Parasitosis Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
Infestation of the small or large intestine by intestinal parasites. Anemia, pain, constipation or diarrhea may accompany.

Causes:
Infection by Oxyuris vermicularis worms 'A to I inch long, thread-like, white worms that move rapidly and contract when touched. Eggs enter the body with inadequately washed vegetables or from soiled hands. Many other parasitic helminths have been described.

Symptoms:
Itching and anal irritation. Worse in the evening, itching in the nose, variable appetite, ineffective and frequent defecation, irritability, insomnia, enuresis, restlessness. Abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea. Pica.

Treatment:
Calcarea acetica; Cina; Santoninum; Sulphur, Teucrium marum verum; Urtica urens.

Calcarea acetica: For children of the calcarea constitution.

Cina: Boring of the nose tip; dark, semi-circular areas under the eyes; restlessness, grinding of teeth during sleep; itching of the anus; startled and yelling out in sleep; nausea or vomiting; hiccup, tendency to recurrent diarrhea (or constipation). Pica.

Santoninum (tincture): For all worm infections or infestations.

Sulphur: For colic due to worms. The anal margin is red.

Teucrium marum verum: Much rectal itching, irritability; sleeplessness and giddiness. Toxemia.

Urtica urens: For excessive nocturnal itching of the anus due to thread worms.
