Glandular Fever Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
An acute infection in children and adults, with severe glandular involvement.

Causes:
May occur in epidemic form. Cases occur by contact.

Symptoms:
Intermittent fever, general malaise and weakness, enlarged spleen. General glandular involvement.

Treatment:
Baryta carbonica; Belladonna atropa; Calcarea acetica; Mercurius vivus; Phytolacca decandra; The specific nosode.

Baryta carbonica: For glandular symptoms.

Belladonna atropa: With high fever and glandular involvement.

Calcarea acetica: When patient is malnourished and there is profuse sweating.

Mercurius vivus: Glandular swelling. Profuse sweat with persistent fever. Breath (halitosis) and body have an offensive smell.

Phytolacca decandra: Headaches are common, mainly in the forehead area. There is chronic, nasal catarrhal inflammation with sudden generalized pains which are intermittent. Lymph glands are enlarged, sore and burning.

The specific nosode: For acute cases and for prevention during epidemics or when travelling to an endemic area, especially for children.
