Definition:
A soft, bulging knot-like mass filled with gelatinous matter.
Causes:
Overstraining of tendons. Cause generally unknown.
Symptoms:
A roundish lump appearing near the wrist (or the ankle).
Treatment:
Benzoicum acidum; Ruta graveolens.
Benzoicum acidum: Ganglion near the tendo-Achilles. Also useful for bun- ions and rheumatic nodules (dose: third to sixth potency).
Ruta graveolens: Ganglion of the wrist (dose: first to sixth potency).
