Diarrhea Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
Diarrhea is defined as an abnormal frequency and liquidity of fecal discharges. Dysentery is diarrhea with blood and mucus, accompanied by general abdominal pain and discomfort, which may be acute or chronic, lasting for years.

Causes:
An infection caused by virus, bacillus, amoebae or unsuitable food. In infective dysentery, treatment should be continued for a week after the disappearance of symptoms. Pain around navel. Flatus pressing downwards. Sensation of a plug between the symphysis pubis and coccyx. Colic before and during stools.

Symptoms:
Abdominal pain; distension; loose motions.

Treatment:
Aloe socotrina; Ipecacuanha; Mercurius corrosivus; Opium; Trombidium muscae domesticae.

Aloe socotrina: Scraped and burning sensation.

Ipecacuanha: Amoebic dysentery with tenesmus; while straining, the pain is severe with accompanying nausea. Little thirst. Pitch-like stools or resembling frothy molasses. Pain is more around the navel.

Mercurius corrosivus: Bruised sensation; transverse colon is painful. Bloated feeling not relieved by stools. Hot, bloody and slimy stool with shreds of mucous membrane.

Opium: Loose stools with bowel atony. Patient is inactive and dehydrated. Trombidium mus- When due to exposed food and drink. Common in cae domesticae: the third world.
