Definition:
Failure to develop the secondary sexual characteristics of pubic hair, breasts and menses at the expected time.
Causes:
Delayed development; may be small in height; may be congenital. Malnutrition, endocrine, genetic and other causes.
Treatment:
Baryta carbonica; Cakarea carbonica; Sabal serrulata; Silicea.
Baryta carbonica: Usefui for immature and delayed development
Cakarea carbonica: Helpful when the constitution is predominatly Calcarea in type. Milestones usually delayed throughout the childhood.
Sabal serrulata: Helpful when breast development in females is inadequate and retarded.
Silicea: Helpful in small, slender, chilly, fair-haired adolescents, with poor peripheral circulation and profuse sweating of the extremities.
