Conjunctivitis Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
An inflammation of the conjunctiva, the transparent membrane covering the inner surface of the eyelids and the anterior surface of the eyeball.

Causes:
Infections, chemicals, allergies.

Symptoms:
Pain, soreness, redness, aversion to bright light (photophobia).

Treatment:
Aconitum napellus; Belladonna atropa; Euphrasia officinalis; Pulsatilla nigricans.

Aconitum napellus: Red and inflamed eye, dry and hot, as if sand is in the eye; lids swollen, hard and red. Photophobia; Profuse watering after exposure to dry, cold wind or reflection of light from the snow or sand.

Belladonna atropa: Conjunctiva is red, dry and burning. Photophobia. Lids swollen. Pupil dilated.

Euphrasia officinalis: Eye continually watery with acrid matter. Burning and swelling of lids. Frequent blinking, sticky discharge on cornea. Glaucoma. Pain.

Pulsatilla nigricans: Thick profuse, yellow and bland discharges, itching and burning. Lachrymation and secretion of mucus. Lids inflammed and agglutinated. Styes.
