Cirrhosis Of The Liver Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
A condition of diffuse hepatic fibrosis in the liver due to degenerative changes.

Causes:
Malnutrition, alcoholism, toxic poisonings, prolonged medication or an infection arising as a complication in the treatment of another illness.

Symptoms:
Vague digestive complaints in the initial stages, due to the congestion of the intestinal tract. These include flatulence, nausea, anorexia and vomiting, especially in the mornings. Abdominal distention is common. In cases with an alcoholic history, polyneuropathy, rough unhealthy skin and a coated tongue are usually present. Anemia and ascites are commonly associated.

Treatment:
Mercurius vivus; Natrium muriaticum; Nux vomica; Silicea.

Mercurius vivus: Putrid eructations. Intense thirst for cold drinks. Continuous hunger. Hiccoughs and regurgitation. Enlarged liver. Boring pain in the region of right loin. Flatulent distension.

Natrium muriaticum: The abdomen is swollen and sensitive, extreme hunger in the mornings with an aversion to milk. Mentally depressed after eating. Dyspepsia may be relieved by soda or starchy foods. A bitter taste in the mouth and impaired digestion.

Nux vomica: The treatment of choice in early cases.

Silicea: May allay the discomfort in the later stages.
