Cataract Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
Opacity of the crystalline lens or its capsule.

Causes:
Senility or trauma. Diabetes mellitus. Steroids. Progeiria.

Symptoms:
Hazy, misty vision, better in dimly lit conditions and looking indirectly and obliquely. There may be a halo effect. Worse in strong sunlight.

Treatment:
Calcarea fluorica; Cakarea phosphorica; Causticum; Cineraria; Conium maculatum; Fluoricum acidum; Magnesium carbonicum; Natrium muriaticum; Nux vomica; Phosphorus; Santoninum; Silicea.

Cakarea fluorica: Useful when accompanied by a toughening and loss of elasticity of the tissues of accommodation. Cakarea The vision is misty, diminished and blurred. Any form

phosphorica: of light irritates and causes pain.

Causticum: In acute cases. Flashes of light and dark spots appear in the visual field.

Cineraria: For problems of lens opacities in the aged following trauma. In cataract when there is severe intolerance of light.

Conium maculatum: When there is paraiysis of eye muscles.

Fluoricum acidum: Burning, painful and aching eyes. A sensation of grit or sand in the eye.

Magnesium carbonkum: When pain and spasm of the eye muscles are associated.

Natrium muriaticum: Indicated when there is a history of excessive salt intake. Letters in the visual field run together; incipient cataract.

Nux vomica: If steroids or toxic poisonings is the cause.

Phosphorus: Most useful when objects appear red. Light may have a green halo.

Santoninum: When objects appear yellow. Colour blindness.

Silicea: When due to excessive reading. Cataract in white collar workers, proof-readers or scholars.
