Definition:
Degeneration of heart functions following a bout of influenza, other micro-organisms or due-to toxic causes.
Causes:
A reaction to the influenza virus or other micro organism. Toxic causes.
Symptoms:
Weakness, cold extremities and fatigue. Lack of appetite.
Treatment:
Gelsemium sempervirens; Nux moschata.
Gelsemium sempervirens: Patient feels it is necessary to keep moving, otherwise, a sensation as if the heart may cease beating. Slow, soft, weak, floating pulse. Palpitation with rapid pulse may occur in some cases
Nux moschata: Marked tendency to fainting and heart failure. Cold extremities, drowsiness, extreme dryness of the mucous membranes.
