Breast Abscess Homeopathy Remedy

Definition:
An acute infection of the breast tissues, during breast feeding. The infection may become chronic.

Causes:
Usually unknown; may be due to lack of sufficient hygiene.

Symptoms:
Pain, redness, swelling, absence of flow of milk, fever, general malaise, axillary glandular involvement.

Treatment:
Aconitum napellus; Belladonna atropa, Bryonia alba; Hepar sulphuris cakareum; Phytolacca decandra.

Aconitum napellus: For the early acute cases, with severe pain, restlessness, often high fever. Useful, particularly for the very acute abscess during lactation.

Belladonna atropa: When the breast is hot, hard and inflamed, usually with a raised body temperature.

Bryonia alba: When the breast is very hard and tense. Pain relieved by pressure.

Hepar sulphuris cakareum: When there is pus formation.

Phytolacca decandra: Tincture is applied externally, and also taken internally. Useful to allay pain.
