Blepharitis Homeopathy Remedy
Definition:
Blepharitis is painful inflammation of the margin of the eyelids. Particularly affects the sebaceous glands near the hair follicle of the eyelash and a pustule is formed called hordeolum or stye.
Causes:
Usually due to bacteria! (staphylococcal) infection.
Symptoms:
Pain, burning, lachrymation.
Treatment:
Belladonna atropa; Euphrasia officinalis; Graphites; Mercurius vivus; Pulsatilla nigricans.
Belladonna atropa: Conjunctiva is red and dry with photophobia. Lids are swollen and pupils dilated.
Euphrasia officinalis: Burning and swelling of the lids.
Graphites: Intolerance of artificial light, lids are red and swollen. Dry, fissured lids with eczema.
Mercurius vivus: Eyelids red, thick, swollen; profuse, burning, acrid discharge. Floating black spots.
Pulsatilla nigricans: Thick, profuse, yellow and bland discharges. Aching and burning. Profuse lachrymation from the inflamed eyelids. Styes. Worse in a warm room.
