SYPHILINUM, LUETICUM
The syphilitic spirochete, A nosode
Clinical Picture:All symptoms are worse at night (Mercurius vivus); from sundown to sunrise.
Eruptions; dull, red, copper coloured spots, becoming blue if exposed to cold.
Loss of memory. Fears the night. Despair of recovery.
Headache, neuralgic in character, causing sleeplessness and delirium at night; commencing at 4 p.m., worse from 10 to II p.m. and ceasing at daylight (ceases at 11 to 12 p.m. Lycopodium clavatum); failing of head hair (alopecia).
Ptosis; paralysis of the superior oblique; sleepy look from drooping lids (Causticum, Graphites, Gelsemium sempervirens).
Diplopia, one image seen below the other.
Teeth decay at the edge of gums and fracture; teeth cupped, edges serrated; dwarfed in size, converge at their tips (Staphysagria). Excessive salivation.
Craving for alcohol, in any form.
Rheumatism of the shoulder joint (periarthritis) or at the insertion of the deltoid, pain increased from raising the arm laterally (Rhus radicans). Leucorrhea dripping to the heels (Alumina).

Relations:
Aurum metallicum, Alumina, Hydrastis canadensis, Kalium aceticum, Mercurius vivus and Nitricum acidum follow this remedy.
Summary of Indications:
Disorders of memory - skin disorders - neuralgic types of headaches -paralysis of muscles - myasthenia gravis - alcoholism - teeth disorders -periarthritis.
