Clinical Picture:Affections of the mucous membranes: eyes, nose, mouth, throat, bronchi, gastrointestinal and genito-urinary tracts; discharge of a tough, stringy mucus, which adheres to the orifices and can be drawn into long strips.
Pains: in small spots, which can be covered with the tip of a finger (Ignatia amara), shift rapidly from one part to another (Kalium sulphuricum, Lacticum acidum, Pulsatilla nigricans).
Modalities:
Worse:
Morning.Better:
Heat of summer.
Hot weather.
Undressing.
From heat.
Skin symptoms are better in cold weather (reverse of Alumina and Petroleum).
Relations:
Bromium, Hepar sulphuris calcareum and lodium (in chest affections) are complementary.
Summary of Indications:
Conjunctivitis - rhinitis - bronchitis - gastroenteritis - polymyossitis.
