HEPAR SULPHURIS CALCAREUM

Calcium sulphide of Hahnemann, Sulphuret of lime

Clinical Picture:
Hepar sulphuris calcareum helps to localize inflammation, as in bringing a boil to a head or the bursting of an abscess. It is useful for rhinitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, and is the most frequently used remedy for children with such disorders.
The patient is irritable and feels chilly.
Great sensitivity, mentally and physically.
Extremely sensitive to cold, cold air, draughts. Feels as if the wind is blowing through some region of the body. Faints from even slight pain.
Cold sores, abscesses, boils and infected ears.
Cold begins with an irritation in the throat.
Sore, ulcerated nose. Sneezes on exposure to the cold, dry wind and the nose starts running; later there is a thick, offensive discharge. Sore throat with splinter, fish bone or plug sensation in throat. Pain extends to ears when swallowing.
Hoarseness with loss of voice, choking and strangling.
Dry, hoarse cough, worse whenever any part of the body becomes uncovered.
Dyspnea with loose, rattling cough.
This remedy also helps to localize an infection.
Urine flow is slow and without force.

Modalities:

Damp wet weather
Warmth.
After eating.
Wrapping up the head.

Relations:
Complementary to Calendula officinalis in injured areas.
