Clinical Picture:Persons of sanguine temperament; continually quarrelsome, easily excited, (Anacardium orientale, Cocculus indicus, Ignatia amara); symptoms decrease with mental exertion.
Irritability to slight noises (crackling of paper), drives person to despair (Asarum europaeum, Tarentula).
Women who are weak and delicate, yet have fiery red face.
Extreme paleness of the face, lips and mucous membranes which become flushed on the least pain, emotion or exertion. Blushing (Amylenum nitrosum, Coca).
Erythematous skin, worse in winter.
Red regions become pale; lips, tongue and mucous membrane of mouth. Vertigo, with balancing sensation, as if on water; on seeing flowing water; when crossing a bridge; on descending (Borax, Sanicula aqua).
Headache; hammering, beating, pulsating pains, must lie down; aversion to eating or drinking for two to four days every two or three weeks.
Menses: Too early, too profuse and long lasting, with fiery flushed face, ringing in the ears, intermittent every two or three days and then return; flow is pale and watery, debilitating.
Hemorrhagic diathesis; blood bright red, coagulates slowly (Ferrum phosphoricum, Ipecacuanha, Phosphorus).
Regurgitation and eructation of food while eating (Alumina), even without nausea. Canine hunger or loss of appetite with extreme dislike for all foods.
Vomiting, immediately after midnight; indigestion, as soon as food is eaten, leaves table suddenly and with one effort vomits everything, sits down and eats again; sour, acid taste (Lycopodium clavatum, Sulphuricum acidum).
Diarrhea, undigested stools at night, or while eating or drinking (Croton tiglium); painless with a good appetite; of consumptives.
Constipation from intestinal atony or lax abdomen; ineffectual urging; stools hard, difficult, followed by backache or cramping pain in rectum; rectal prolapse of children; itching of anus at night.
Always feels better by walking slowly, although weakness obliges the patient to lie down. Cough during the day time (Euphrasia officinalis); relieved by lying down; increases by eating (Spongia).
Oedema, after loss of vital fluids; excess of quinine.

Relations:
Complementary to Alumina and Cinchona (China) officinalis.
Cinchonium sulphuricum, the vegetable analogue, follows well in nearly all diseases, acute or chronic.
Should never be given in syphilis as it always aggravates the disorder.
