Clinical Picture:Catarrhal affections of mucous membranes, especially of the eyes and nose.
The eyes tear all the time and the lids are glued together with pus in the mornings. The margins of the lids are red, swollen and burning.
Profuse watery coryza with violent cough and abundant expectoration.
Modalities:
Worse:
In the evening in bed.Better:
Indoors.
Warmth.
Moisture.
When touched (similar to Hepar sulphuris calcareum).
Light (photophobia).
From coffee.
In the dark.
Relations:
Similar to Pulsatilla nigricans in affections of the eyes; reverse of Allium cepa in lachrymation and coryza (in Allium cepa the tears are watery and the nasal discharge is acrid).
