Clinical Picture:Indicated for females subject to epileptic and choreiform convulsions; spasms of children, due to teething or from worms.
Convulsions: Violent with frightful distortions of the limbs and body; with loss of consciousness; opisthotonos, aggravated with the slightest touch, noise or jarring.
Puerperal convulsions; frequent momentary suspension of breathing (as if dead); upper part of the body most affected.
Epilepsy with acute gastric disorders; screaming with flushed or bluish face; lockjaw, loss of consciousness and distortion of the limbs; frequent during the night; recurring first at short, then at long intervals.
When reading, the letters seem to rotate, go up or dowp, or disappear (Coca).
During dentition, grinding of the teeth or gums, trismus of the jaws, as in tetanus.
Abnormal appetite for chalk and other indigestible materials, such as coal or charcoal; child eats them with apparent relish18 (Alumina, Psorinum, Calcarea carbonica).
Suffers violent shocks radiating through head, stomach, arms, legs, which cause jerkings of the parts, head feels hot.
Late effects from concussions of the brain and spine, trismus and tetanus from penetrating wounds (Hypericum perforatum).
Pustules which rub together, forming thick, yellow scabs on the head and face.
Sycotic diathesis.
Eczema causing itching; exudation forms into a hard lemon coloured crust.

From tobacco smoke (Ignatia amara).
Touch.
Noise, draughts or jarring.
Relations:
Similar to Hydrastis canadensis, Hypericum perforatum, Nux vomica or Strychninurn.
Summary of Indications:
Convulsions - epilepsy - pica - concussion - tetanus - eczema - sycotic diathesis.
