Clinical Picture:Exquisite pains come on suddenly, last a short time, disappear suddenly (Belladonna atropa, Magnesium phosphoricum).
Profound prostration, collapse; surface pale and bathed in cold sweat (Camphora officinalis, Carbo vegetabilis, Veratrum album).
Dull, heavy, frontal headache, as if a rubber band Is stretched tightly over the forehead, from temple to temple (Gelsemium sempervirens, Platinum metallicum, Sulphur).
Longing for alcohol and tobacco (Asarum europaeum, Carbo vegetabilis).
Constipation, with horribly offensive breath.

Relations:
Similar to Arsenicum album and Kreosotum in burns; Gelsemium sempervirens, Mercurius vivus and Sulphur in ulcers, with unhealthy offensive discharges.
Carboiicum acidum is antidoted by cider, vinegar, either externally or internally. This is often carried out when acid has been swallowed accidentally or taken for suicidal purposes.
