Clinical Picture:Oversensitiveness of all regions of the body.
Hemorrhages from nose, mouth, intestines, genital and urinary organs. Pain: Raw, sore, burning in every part of the body, internally and externally; extreme weakness.
Disgust for everything; drink, food, tobacco. Drinking even small quantities of water increases the pain in the bladder.
Constant urging to urinate, passing a few 'drops at a time mixed with blood. Intolerable urging, before, during and after urination. Intense itching, burning, cutting pains in urethra (Petroselinum); violent tenesmus and strangury.
Burning sensation in oesophagus, stomach and other organs; also in the soles of feet at nights.
Stools: Passage of white or pale, red, tough mucus like scrapings from the intestines, with streaks of blood (Carbo animalis, Colchicum autum-nale). Bloody, nocturnal emissions (Ledum palustre, Mercurius vivus, Petroleum).
Sexual desire increased in both sexes; preventing sleep; violent priapism, with excessive pain (Picricum acidum).
Tenacious mucus in the air passages (Bovista, Kalium bichromicum).
Skin: Vascular erysipelas; vesicles all over the body are sore and suppurating. Erythema from exposure to sun's rays (sunburn).
The burning pain and constant urging to urinate are the stamp of Cantharis in all inflammatory affections.

Sight and sound of water.
Relations:
Similar to Apis mellifica, Arsenicum album, Equisetum hyemale and Mercurius vivus in some disorders.
For burns, before and after blisters have formed. If the skin is unbroken, an alcoholic solution of any potency is applied and covered with cotton; this will promptly relieve the pain and often prevent vesication. If skin is broken, use in boiled or distilled water externally and the potency is administered internally.
Summary of Indications:
Hemorrhages - urethritis - impotence - erysipelas - sunburn, burns and scalds - cystitis.
