Clinical Picture:Emaciated children unable to stand; slow in learning to walk (Calcarea arsenicosa, Silicea); sunken, flabby abdomen.
Oozing of blood discharged from the navel of infants.
Rachitic children; cranial bones thin and brittle; fontanelles and sutures remain open, or close and reopen again; delayed or complicated teething.
Spine is weak, disposed to curvatures, especially to the left; unable to support body; neck is weak, unable to support the head (Abrotanum).
Symptoms aggravated when contemplating on them.
Non-union of bones; promotes callus (Symphytum officinale).
Colicky pains in the abdomen on attempting to eat; regular vomiting in children.
Craving for ham, bacon, smoked, salted meats or undigestible materials.
Promotes milk flow in breast feeding mothers, when other symptoms are matching.
Sensation of numbness and crawling of insects on the body.
Rheumatism; diarrhea with marasmus.

Relations:
Complementary to Ruta graveolens.
Similar to Carbo animalis, Calcarea fluorica, Calcarea acetica, Fluoricum acidum, Kalium phosphoricum. Similar to Psorinum in debility after acute diseases. Similar to Silicea (but no sweating of head).
Acts best before lodium, Psorinum, Sanicula aqua and Sulphur.
Acts best after Arsenicum album, lodium, Tuberculinum.
Summary of Indications:
Rachitic children - non-union of bones - gastritis with colic - dentition disorders - deficient lactation - rheumatism - diarrhea.
