Clinical Picture:Nervous, anxious people; excitable and melancholic.
Patient imagines that he or she is hovering in the air like a spirit (Lac caninum); lightness of all the limbs; feels cold, "shivers" with emotion.
Oversensitive, nervous; scratching of linen or silk, crackling of paper are unbearable (Ferrum metallicum, Tartaricum acidum).
Sensation as if ears are plugged with some foreign body.
While reading, sensation as if eyes would be pressed outwards; relieved by bathing them in cold water. Cold air or cold water is very pleasant to the eyes; sunshine, light and wind are intolerable.
Unconquerable longing for alcohol. This is a popular remedy used in Soviet Russia for alcoholism.
"Horrible sensation" of pressing, digging in the stomach when waking in the morning (after a late night).
Great weariness and constant yawning.

Washing face or bathing affected parts with cold water.
in damp, wet weather (Causticum).
Relations:
Followed by Bismuthurn oxydatum, Causticum, Pulsatilla nigricans or Sulphuricum acidum as complementary remedies. Similar to Causticum in certain modalities; to Aloe socotrina, Argentum nitricum, Mercurius vivus, Podophyllum peltatum, Pulsatilla nigricans, Sulphuricum acidum in stringy, shreddy stools.
