Clinical Picture:Acrid coryza; raw nostrils, constant picking of the nose until it bleeds due to boring inside with the fingers.
Children refuse food and drink on account of soreness of the mouth and throat (Mercurius vivus) and are sleepless.
Aphonia is complete after exposure to wind (Aconitum napellus, Hepar sulphuris calcareum); from singing (Argentum metallicum, Causticum, Phosphorus, Selenium); "clergyman's sore throat" where voice is hoarse, uncertain, uncontrollable and changing continually; worse when talking, speaking or singing. This is common in orators, singers, actors, politicians, teachers and others in the speaking trades.

Relations:
A useful remedy after Hepar sulphuris calcareum and Nitricum acidum in dry, hoarse cough. The higher potencies are immediately effective in such cases.
