Clinical Picture:This remedy will benefit the patient who suffers from bronchitis and has a wheezing cough with mucus in the chest, which makes a rattling and bubbling sound, as if the patient is drowning in his own secretions. The patient is pale, has a cold sweat, and looks seriously ill; lack of energy.
Cough with rattling of mucus in the chest, but with scanty expectoration. Wheezing and difficult breathing.
The face is cold, pale and covered with a cold sweat.
The patient is drowsy and very sleepy.
Modalities:
Worse:
Damp, cold weather. Evening.Better:
Tartrate of Antimony and Potash.
Warmth of room.
Lying down.
All sour foods.
Milk and milk products.
Cold, open air.
Sitting erect.
Belching.
Expectoration.
Lying on the right side.
Relations:
Similar to Lycopodium clavatum and Ipecacuanha (also an antidote).
Summary of Indications:
Bronchitis - emphysema - pneumonia - asphyxia neonatorum.
