Clinical Picture:
Sudden loss of memory; everything seems a dream; the patient is greatly troubled by the forgetfulness; confused and unfit to carry out any serious business.
Disposed to be malicious and inclined to be wicked and vindictive. Lack of confidence in himself or herself and in others. Strange (paradoxical) temper, laughs at serious matters and is serious over laughable situations. Hypochondriac, with hemorrhoids and constipation.
Sensation of a hoop or band around a part of the body (Cactus grandiflorus, Carbolicum acidum. Sulphur). Sensations as if a blunt instrument is pressing; sensation of a plug in patient's internal orifices".
Tendency to choke when eating and drinking. Swallows food and drink hastily; symptoms disappear while eating.
Great desire for stool, but with the effort the desire usually passes away quickly, without evacuation.

Modalities:
Worse:

On application of (bathing with) hot water.
Better:
Eating.

Relations:
Symptoms may radiate from right to left (Lycopodium clavatum). Anacardium orientate follows well after Lycopodium clavatum or Pulsatilla nigricans as a complementary remedy. Anacardium orientale follows, and is followed well by Platinum metallicum.

Summary of Indications:
Amnesia - confusion - hypochondriasis - constipation.
