Common potash alum

Clinical Picture:
Severe constipation. No desire for stools for days. Violent ineffectual urging at stool. Inability to expel stools. Marble-tike masses expelled, but rectum still feels full. Itching after stool. Skin: Ulcers, with indurated base. Extremities: Weakness of all muscles.

Modalities:
Worse:

Cold.

(Note: the headache is relieved by cold)

Summary of Indications:
Constipation (obstinate) - muscular paresis or paralysis.

Antidotes:
Camphora officinalis
Lycopodium clavatum
Nux vomica
Sulphur
